Important Notes
Visa appointment management and application collection in Pakistan is handled by BLS-Intiana according to the applicant's permanent-residence consular jurisdiction. As of 6 September 2026, the Multan and Faisalabad Italy Visa Application Centres are permanently closed. For the Embassy of Italy Islamabad jurisdiction, appointment bookings and waiting-list registration are now handled through Islamabad and Lahore. Applicants residing in the Karachi consular jurisdiction continue to follow the Consulate General of Italy in Karachi procedure, including the Karachi and Quetta centres. Italy publishes a Pakistan-specific Medical Treatment Visa checklist. The current checklist requires medical evidence of the need for treatment, confirmation by the receiving Italian healthcare facility, the planned treatment details and cost, and evidence that the treatment and related expenses can be financed. Italy currently publishes Pakistan-specific checklists for Tourism / Family Visit, Business, Medical Treatment, Religious Reasons, Study, Family Reunification and other categories. The exact checklist must match the actual purpose.
